About me

Dr. Darlene Allen Nichols is a distinguished leader, ordained pastor, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with nearly three decades of expertise in organizational development, leadership, and ministry. As the founder and overseer of multiple nonprofit organizations, including the DAN Care Center and DAN Ministries, she is dedicated to empowering individuals through spiritual enrichment, mentorship, and strategic leadership initiatives. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s in Business Management, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling, a Master of Divinity, a Doctorate of Divinity, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership & Development. Her extensive experience spans private practice, hospitals, and community mental health centers, where she specializes in family therapy, child and adolescent counseling, and mental health treatment. Dr. Nichols integrates faith, professional expertise, and evidence-based practices to promote healing and transformation. Beyond her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Nichols has traveled across the length and breadth of the country, preaching, teaching, and organizing for churches, businesses, and both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Her passion for ministry and leadership development has positioned her as a sought-after speaker, consultant, and change agent in diverse spaces. Alongside her husband, Pastor Eugene Nichols Jr., she serves as Senior Pastor of New Life Encounter Church in Chicago, Illinois. Together, they are committed to ministry, community impact, and the spiritual and personal development of those they serve. They are proud parents of two sons, EJ and Austin.
